Couple’s Therapy

Couples therapy is useful for individuals in various stages and types of relationships. This includes dating relationships, marriages, same-sex or common law partnerships, or other kinds of relationship agreements. Most couples decide to begin therapy as a response to a conflict or other difficult situation. My interactive approach can help couples with:

  • Discussing difficult issues in a safe setting
  • Learning to resolve conflict and “fight fair”
  • Recovering from an affair or other violation of trust
  • Resolving sexual incompatibilities
  • Learning to navigate financial challenges
  • Resolving or accepting differences in the presence of an objective intermediary
  • Gaining hope that a difficult relationship can regain its footing

In addition to problem-solving, many couples seek therapy to strengthen or enhance an already-solid relationship. Some of our work together includes the following:

  • Learning to communicate so your partner can hear
  • Gaining hands-on tools for creating and maintaining a successful relationship
  • Rediscovering what you appreciate about one another
  • Strategies for continued growth and keeping the relationship vibrant
  • Developing techniques for effective co-parenting
  • Enhancing sexual experiences for both partners
